We also stayed at Ngalawa hotel which is a good 20-30 minutes from Stone town. The whole place is beautiful I just didn’t like our room I think it was too overpriced for the small space it provided but it has a lot of other great rooms and villas as well as great swimming pools ( as shown below) It also has a club which we didn’t get to go to because both nights we were there it wasn’t “happening” Also one thing I loved about ngalawa are the chicken sausages we had at breakfast ( Food is important after all) they have a good breakfast menu with more variety of foods compared to Dhowinn.
We went to stone town every evening for the two nights that we stayed at Ngalawa, Went to “TheBeachHouse” the first night and the sunset was one of the most magical sunsets I have ever experienced, they had great drinks too mixed with spices like Cinnamon and for the first time I actually ordered alcohol in this trip but for some reason after a whole espresso martini and a mojito I did not feel even abit tipsy maybe I need to try a stronger drink next time since It is my goal to experience being tipsy this year. Key is Tipsy not Drunk.
Zanzibar, I will be back this year, hopefully more than once to explore more of you, Thank you for a great way to end 2018 filled with laughter, peacefulness, the ability to strengthen a friendship and being free even if it was just for a few days. Below are more images from our stay I hope you enjoy and please do let me know (if you have been) what’s one place in Zanzibar that’s a must visit and what are some of the few things one can do.
